Take charge of your life and understand that you can be happy no matter what others are doing. It just takes a different perspective. Happier people attract more circumstances to be happy about.
Let yourself off the hook. Stop fretting over all the perceived mistakes you have made. The other people involved in those situations are most likely not even still thinking about what happened. LOS ANGELES, June 14, 2007 (AFP) - The prospect of super-strength military body armor inspired by silk from deadly black widow spiders has moved a step closer after research revealed by a US university.

Scientists at the University of California, Riverside, outside Los Angeles, have identified the genes and DNA sequences for two key proteins used in the "dragline" silk of the tiny but lethal spiders found in the region.

The university said in a news release that the discovery could lead to a variety of new materials for industrial, medical and military uses.

Dragline silk from black widows is regarded as superior to that from other spiders because of its strength and extensibility, which enable the silk to absorb enormous amounts of energy.

The silk's properties have interested the military, medical and sporting worlds, who are keen to explore the possibility of copying the structure of the silk for lightweight body armor, medical devices and athletic attire.

The genetic discovery was made by UC Riverside professor Cheryl Hayashi and a team of researchers.

There are currently no products on the market based on the dragline silk of spiders.

"There's nothing quite as good yet as natural dragline silk, but we should get a lot closer now that we have the full genetic recipe," Hayashi said.

Now the genetic blueprint of the silk has been identified it may be possible to synthetically produce the proteins by inserting the genetic sequences into host organisms such as bacteria, plants or animals, she said.

The next challenge would be attempting to spin the proteins into silk fibers that have the same properties as spider spun silk.

With the serious Mac heads on pilgrimage to San Francisco for the annual Apple Worldwide Developers Conference starting June 11, the online rumors have gone into overdrive.

Not that it's been anything but racing speed anyway, with the iPhone due to ship later in June and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard set for release in October.

To make the point (and drive traffic), blogger Wil Shipley predicted the end of the iMac.
"Thus, it would shock many to hear that Apple is, in fact, planning to retire the iMac this year. [...] Of course, they're not. That would be stupid. Still, I bet I could get a ton of other rumor sites to pick this up as 'news' if I kept going with it," he wrote.

(Remember that Apple is closed very tightly at most times, and sealed airtight before CEO Steve Jobs is due to speak. So, nobody but the inner-inner circle in Cupertino really knows what he will say and announce at the conference. Even then, he has reportedly left announcements and honored guests waiting in the green room.)

Meanwhile, the next generation of the Mac OS, Leopard, still has its secrets. While Apple has revealed most of Leopard's features in its beta seeds over the past year, Mac developers are waiting on the entire package. When Leopard was first announced, Jobs said the company was holding back a number of features and keeping them secret, or "hidden" for its release. But, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, marketers who promise lucrative jobs as mystery shoppers often do not deliver bona fide opportunities.

What is Mystery Shopping?

Some retailers hire marketing research companies to evaluate the quality of service in their stores; these companies use mystery shoppers to get the information anonymously. They assign a mystery shopper to make a particular purchase in a store or restaurant, for example, and then report on the experience. Typically, the shopper is reimbursed, and can keep the product or service. Many professionals in the field consider mystery shopping a part-time activity, at best.

And, they add, opportunities generally are posted online by marketing research or merchandising companies. Nevertheless, fraudulent mystery shopping promoters are using newspaper ads and emails to create the impression that they're a gateway to lucrative mystery shopper jobs with reputable companies.

These solicitations usually promote a website where consumers can "register" to become mystery shoppers -- after they pay a fee for information about a certification program, a directory of mystery shopping companies, or a guarantee of a mystery shopping job. The truth is that it is unnecessary to pay money to anyone to get into the mystery shopper business.

The shopping certification offered in advertising or unsolicited e-mail is almost always worthless. A list of companies that hire mystery shoppers is available for free; and legitimate mystery shopper jobs are on the Internet for free. Consumers who try to get a refund from promoters of mystery shopping jobs usually are out of luck.

Two letters written in code hold saucy sex secrets of Charles I, an historian has said.

The letters apparently reveal a crudely-worded advance towards the step-daughter of one of the King's former courtiers.

They were smuggled on scraps of paper from Carisbrooke Castle, where Charles I was imprisoned in 1648, the year before his execution.

Dr Sarah Poynting, of Keele University, said the letters were written while the King's wife, Henrietta Maria, was in France in exile.

She said they cast new light on a King previously believed to have high moral standards.

Dr Poynting said the two letters revealed an attempt to arrange a sexual liaison with Jane Whorwood, a tall, red-haired woman with a pock-marked face.

They were written partly in cipher and warn that the couple will not be able to speak privately without special permission.

One newly-decoded line reads: "I imagine that there is one way possible that you may get a swiving from me".

It is followed by a description of how the woman can get secret access to his rooms.

In the 17th century "swiving" was an obscene word for sex, found in the pornographic verses of the Earl of Rochester.

Previous historians arrived at a different translation that only pointed to a strong friendship, tinged by mildly romantic feelings.

Dr Poynting said: "The King is known to have been devoted to his wife, Henrietta Maria, and remembered for refusing to tolerate the drunkenness and immorality that marked the court of his father, James I.

"Charles's sexual probity has been so taken for granted that when I first told colleagues about my discovery, they didn't believe I could be right until I went step-by-step through the cipher.

"There is no reason, though, to find such apparent contradictions incredible; it simply means that we have begun to understand a little more about a complex man at one critical time.

"Charles may have been a unique captive, but there were moments when he shared the concerns of many other prisoners: self-justification, escape, and sex."

A further two potentially top-secret documents have been found among former prime minister David Lange's papers.

It is a year since The Sunday Star-Times published parts of the 1985-86 annual report of the Government Communications Security Bureau – New Zealand's electronic spying agency – found in Lange's archived papers.

Publication of the report sparked a lock-down of all former ministers' papers till they had been searched by the bureau and Security Intelligence Service. Three months later, it was a revealed a second top- secret document detailing New Zealand's spying activities had been found among Lange's boxes of papers.

Now, documents obtained by The Dominion Post under the Official Information Act, suggest more sensitive documents have been found.
A memorandum from head archivist Matthew Thornley to Archives NZ chief executive Dianne Macaskill in late October reveals that two further papers have been identified as possibly requiring "separate secure storage", a procedure for "top-secret" documents.

That number is an approximation from the World Health Organization; despite its prevalence, most public health agencies do not track the infection, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S., where the disease plagues at least eight million people. Yet, T. vaginalis infection increases susceptibility to HIV as well as causes some women to have a frothy, odoriferous discharge. "You can tell it's growing well if you have a foul smell wafting out of the dish," notes Jane Carlton, a genomist at New York University and lead author of the report.

Have you ever walked into the supermarket with the intention of buying two items and instead walked out with more than a dozen? Coincidence? Probably not. Supermarkets have conducted extensive research on consumers and their shopping habits, and they know how to get you to fill your cart and empty your wallet.

For example, one tactic supermarkets use is the smell of freshly baked bread coming from the in-store bakery during the after-work rush. The smell of warm bread makes people feel hungry. And when you feel hungry while shopping, you're more likely to buy additional items.

Another trick some retailers employ is stocking more expensive items at eye level and on the right. Because we read from left to right, our eyes naturally scan store shelves from left to right. The eye stops on the more expensive items on the right, making shoppers more likely to purchase them. Retailers also locate commonly purchased items, such as milk and eggs, at the back of the store so that shoppers have to walk through the entire store to get to the items they came in for.

Tickets and tags are another ploy retailers use to grab consumers' attention. We rely on retailers to use tags to highlight sale items, but they also may attach tags to non-sale items that say things like "everyday low price" to help maximize the sale of a product. Waiting in the check-out line? It's filled with impulse items like batteries, gum, candy bars, magazines and other frivolous products not on your list.

The good news is that, by being aware of supermarket marketing ploys and developing a shopping strategy of your own, you can save time and money as well as avoid the urge to make impulse purchases.

Here are some tips to help keep impulse spending under wraps at the supermarket.

Write down what you need before you shop. Starting out with a shopping list not only reminds you of what you need, but it also will keep you from buying items you don't need.
Eat before you shop. Don't take hungry kids or spouses with you. Hungry shoppers are more likely to buy impulse items, especially ready-to-eat and snack items. If you do arrive on an empty stomach, stop by the in-store deli or head directly for the free samples that many supermarkets offer before making your selections.
Observe product placement. More expensive items are usually placed at eye level, within easy reach. Less expensive items are placed either high or low.
Double-check prices on product displays and aisle end caps. Store displays, including those located at the end of the aisles, do not always feature sale items. Also, keep in mind that non-sale items often are displayed along with sale items.

MAHARSHI VATSAYAN:

EXPONENT OF KAMA SUTRA
Well before the exposition of Kama Sutra, certain sage Babhravpanchal had a compiled a treatise Kama Shastra. It is not available now. But it is very huge collection. And because of its hugeness later scholars divided it into different volumes. Maharshi Vatsayan had actually produced an abridged version of Kama Shastra. There are disputes regarding the time period of Vatsayan. But the experts fix the time of Vatsyayan when Patana was famous as Pataliputra.

Evidently the commentator Vatsyayan of NyayaDarshan and exponent Vatsyayan of Kama Sutra, both are one and single person. Some servants even assert that Vastsayan was the third name of Vishnugupt - other two being Chanakya and Kautilya. Yashodhar, the commentator of Kama Sutra has identified Vatsayan as Mallanaga. Hence, his original name appeared to be Malanaga, with a tile of Vatsyayan.

OBJECTS OF HUMAN CREATION
Like every creature, humans have also received certain rights, and certain duties for a successful existence in the world. Objects of comforts have also been provided. For human being there are four objects for his existence. These are:-

Dharma (religion),
Arth (luxuries),
Kama (carnal pleasures) and
Moksha (salvation).

Most of the people neither crave nor strive for all the four. First three - religion, luxuries and carnal pleasures are more important for them. Maharishi Vatsayana regards these three objects as the basic reason of existence. Everybody strives to achieve either of these objects with all his might. Shastras or disciplines help a person to achieve the object he deserves.

NECESSITY OF KAMA SHASTRA
Despite having enthusiasm determination, faith and capacity, often a human being fails to achieve his object for the want of a competent guide. Kama or carnal pleasure is one of the main objects of existence of a human being. But without a well-laid discourse and discipline, no one can achieve pleasure. Like other disciplines, Kama Shastra also contains certain norms and disciplined actions necessary to achieve one`s goal.

NECESSITY OF READING KAMASHASTRA
Like religion and earnings, Kama or Carnal pleasures are the third goal of human life. Without having a proper knowledge of Kama, one cannot experience all the other physical comforts. A married person is naturally inclined towards carnal pleasures. In other words, carnal pleasures constitute basic reason for marriage.

A man and a woman agree to tie a nuptial knot only to have carnal pleasures. Marriage simply reflects the social nod for their union. But if the people entering the marriage lack the basic knowledge about it, they will not be able to achieve the basic goal of marriage. It is here where Kama Shastra comes in the picture. Evidences show that Kama or Carnal union of male and female forces had never been taken for granted even in ancient time. Vedas, Puranas and other literature describe profusely about the authenticity, necessity and relevance of Kama Shastra.

Ancient sages composed Kama Shastra on the basis of Vedas. Maharshi Nandikeshwar was the first originator of Kama Shastra in to various chapters. Apart from these, great sages like Dattakacharya, Charayana, Suvarn-nama Ghotakmukh, Gonardiya, Gonikaputra and Kuchumar had also contributed their mite in the evolution and refinement of Kama Shastra. Sage Vatsayan gave the finishing touch to Kama Shastra.

NECESSITY OF KAMA SUTRA IN EDUCATION
Gurukula system of education was prevalent in ancient India. Abidance to celibacy was a must for the inmates of Gurukul. Kama Sutra was taught to the celibate disciples during their stay in Gurukul. The disciples could enter married life only when he had thorough knowledge of Kama Sutra. Of course, study of Kama Sutra used to be taken up after the education of Vedas, Vedangas and other scriptures had been finished. Thus, by the time, disciples left Gurukul, they were experts in Vedas and clever in social conduct. Their married life as result would be free from problems and conflicts.

Love teachings of the Kama Sutra
Everyone knows the Kama Sutra is ancient India's racy sex manual. The title conjures titillating visions of erotic frescos in which regal maharajas with outsized genitals cavort with naked bejeweled nymphs in positions exotic enough to slip the discs of a yoga master.

Kama Sutra literally means "treatise on sexual pleasure." Unlike the Christian view that the sole purpose of sex is procreation, in the fourth century Hindu world that gave birth to the Kama Sutra, the cultivation of sexual pleasure, independent of procreation, was considered one of life's highest callings. The ancient Hindus believed that life had three purposes:

religious piety (dharma),
material success (artha),
and sexual pleasure (kama).

All three were equal, and the erotic was celebrated as the seat of earthly beauty. In the Hindu world the pursuit of sexual pleasure was revered as a sort of religious quest..

The Kama Sutra was written by one Vatsyayana Mallanaga, about whom nothing else is known. However, from the text, it's clear that he was upper-class. He takes servants for granted, and assumes his readers have the leisure time to seduce virgins and other men's wives, and the money to buy the gifts he recommends giving to do so.

Vatsyayana also claims to have written his treatise "in chastity and highest meditation." It's hard to know what to make of this. Some commentators have scoffed that, given the subject matter, this seems highly unlikely. But considering the reverence with which the ancient Hindus approached matters sexual, it's also possible that Vatsyayana wrote his book with the gravity of, say, a modern-art critic discussing a cache of just-discovered erotic paintings by Picasso. We'll never know.

The Kama Sutra may be the ancient world's most famous sex book, but it was by no means the first. The Chinese had sex manuals 500 years earlier, and Ovid's "Ars Amatoria," a handbook for courtesans, preceded the "Kamasutra" by some 200 years. The Kama Sutra is not even the first Indian sex guide. Vatsyayana mentions several sages who trod his erotic path before him.
The sexual culture it describes is also surprisingly like our own. While the Kama Sutra describes girls and women as dependent on their fathers, husbands and adult sons - in the manner of women in today's Arab Middle East - in the India of the text, they enjoyed an independence and freedom of movement Saudi or Pakistani women can only dream of. While their wealthy fathers and husbands were running businesses and the government - not to mention fucking around - young women were often free to date men and select their own husbands, and married women were free to select lovers and entertain them.

The Kama Sutra is organized in seven sections that track men through life.

In Book 1, the bachelor sets up his pad.

In Book 2, he perfects his sexual techniques. This is the book that has inspired the videos, games and everything else that flies the Kama Sutra flag.

In Book 3, our young man seduces a virgin.

In Book 4, he marries and sets up a household for his wife and servants.

By Book 5, he has grown sexually bored with his wife, and turns to seducing other men's wives. Eventually, as he ages, the effort necessary for such dalliances loses its charm,

so in Book 6, he takes up with courtesans, who work to please him - but for a price. Finally, in old age, he fears he is losing his potency and attractiveness,

so Book 7 contains recipes for herbal potions to preserve them.

Although Vatsyayana was a man writing for men, some of the Kama Sutra speaks directly to women:

Book 3 tells virgins how to attract husbands.
Book 4 instructs women how to be good wives.
Book 6 deals with the skills required of courtesans - including how they should provide for their own old age by stealing from their patrons. This information does not seem odd until you realize that in fourth century India, few if any women could read. You are reading this article in yahoo groups; deshiromance. It's not clear how they obtained the Kama Sutra's information. Apparently, some did. Presumably literate men read it to them, as clergy a few centuries ago read the Bible to illiterate congregants.

Book 2, the sex manual, recognizes women as full, lusty participants in sex, and exhorts men to learn ejaculatory control to last long enough to bring them to orgasm: "Women love the man whose sexual energy lasts a long time, but they resent a man whose energy ends quickly because he stops before they reach a climax." (Apparently, Vatsyayana didn't know that many women never reach orgasm solely from intercourse no matter how long it lasts.) Nonetheless, the Kama Sutra is very attentive to women's pleasure, a view that arrived in our culture only a few decades ago, a view still lost on many men.
Book 2 also instructs men to treat women in such a way "that she achieves her sexual climax first." How can a man do this? By following Book 2's extensive discussion of the fine points of what today we called "foreplay" -- embracing, kissing, and other types of touch calculated to heighten sexual arousal. The "Kamasutra" gets a little wild here. It touts slapping and spanking with accompanying shrieks and moans, and is particularly enamored of scratching and biting: "There are no keener means of increasing passion than acts inflicted by tooth and nail." It even sings the praises of scars caused by erotic scratching. It considers them advertisements of erotic prowess: "Passion and respect arise in a man who sees from a distance a young girl with the marks of nails cut into her breasts."
Book 2 advocates use of sex toys, and suggests sex while bathing. It also describes how a man can best satisfy two women at the same time (fondle one while having intercourse with the other), and how two or more men should comport themselves when sexually sharing one woman (take turns having intercourse, and while one is inside her, the others should fondle her).
Earlier I mentioned the Kama Sutra's unexpected aversion to oral sex. Vatsyayana declares, "It should not be done because it is opposed to the moral code." But apparently, he understood that ancient Indian men enjoyed blow jobs as much as men do today, because after condemning oral sex, he provides elaborate instructions to women on how to perform what the Kamasutra calls "sucking the mango."

Then Vatsyayana reiterates his condemnation of oral sex, saying it should be enjoyed only with "loose women, servant girls, and masseuses" with whom a man "does not bother with acts of civility." Finally, in an ambivalent aside, he allows that some men enjoy sucking each other's mangoes, and that some even perform cunnilingus: "Sometimes men perform this act on women, transposing the procedure for kissing a mouth."
In Book 3, the Kama Sutra insists that men who seduce virgins do so very tenderly. It advises courting a virgin for many days before bedding her. The suitor should engage her in interesting conversation, shower her with gifts, play board games with her, and work to win her trust, all the while remaining sexually abstinent to set her at ease. As the big moment approaches, he should send her little sculptures of goats and sheep with major erections. If she takes the hint, she should signal her willingness by flashing him -- "revealing the splendid parts of her body." Finally, they make a date to meet and have sex.
But tenderness toward women goes only so far in the Kama Sutra." If a virgin is unwilling to go all the way, men are instructed to have a brother ply her with liquor, and "when the drink has made her unconscious, he takes her maidenhead," i.e. he rapes her. In the Kamasutra's view, rape is acceptable not only for reluctant virgins, but also for other women: "A man may take widows, women who have no man to protect them, wandering women ascetics, and women beggars ... for he knows they are vulnerable ..."
The Kamasutra devotes only nine pages to the care of wives in Book 3, but almost three times the real estate, 26 pages, to Book 4, the seduction of other men's wives. It exhorts wives to be doting, dutiful, careful managers of servants, and always well-mannered, well-dressed and faithful. But it also assumes that wives eventually bore their husbands. As a result, a man is perfectly justified in seducing other men's wives, who are exciting, challenging, worthy of indefatigable pursuit, and great fun in bed. If a wife discovered that her husband had been unfaithful, she was over a barrel.

In fourth century India, she couldn't leave him as a modern woman might. She was obligated to remain dutiful. But the Kama Sutra allows her to be "mildly offended" and "scold him with abusive language." However, she was forbidden to resort to "love sorcery," i.e. herbal potions, to win him back, presumably because that might ruin his well-deserved adulterous fun.
When it comes to seducing other men's wives, the Kamasutra is not above a little shameless self-promotion either. It asks: Which men are the most successful at it? Those "who know the Kamasutra."
The Kamasutra's matter-of-fact acceptance of infidelity is tempered by only one caveat: Men were not to go that route if it was likely to "bring disaster," i.e. violence or financial reverses. To prevent disaster, the "Kamasutra" lists women who should be avoided, notably those who are "well guarded or with their mothers-in-law." Once a man has selected an eligible extramarital target, the Kama Ssutra instructs him to woo her with all the focus and creativity he would bring to courting a virgin, except that in the case of another man's wife, he had to be more stealthy and deceptive, which made the chase all the more exciting and intellectually diverting.
Of course, if a man seduced another man's wife, chances were good that some other sexually itchy gent might decide to seduce his. Wives were expected to be faithful, but with so many men getting action on the side, many wives must also have been cheating. The Kama Sutra concludes its discussion of extramarital affairs by saying that it does not advocate philandering, but rather seeks to prevent it by describing all the ways libidinous lotharios might cuckold them in order to warn husbands worried about their wives' wandering eyes. Given the extraordinary detail with which the Kama Sutra describes infidelity, I doubt that any fourth century reader believed this. (The KamaSutra does not discuss how a husband should deal with a wife's infidelities, but I doubt that all she got was a scolding.)
In the end, the Kama Sutra describes a highly sexual world, one that does not condemn unbridled pleasure as our culture does, but prefers amoral pleasure that's somewhat restrained simply because it's easier for all concerned. It's a sexual world committed to erotic tenderness, yet capable of casual cruelty, a lusty world that venerated sex for its own sake, not just for procreation.

1. The exact origins of the Kama Sutra are vague, but it was written between the 1st and 4th Centuries AD by a man called Vatsyayana, who lived in the North Indian city of Benares - now called Varanasi, in Uttar Pradesh.

2. It was first translated into English by the 19th Century British explorer Sir Richard F. Burton in 1876.
Born in 1821 the adventurer, who spoke 25 languages, came across the Kama Sutra in Bombay in 1842 and became fascinated with Indian erotica.
Following a visit to a prostitute, Burton, who had three Indian mistresses said: "We British never knew of this kind of love-making. Had we known, we would not have ruined the lives of so many British virgins."

3. In 1883 Burton risked prosecution and imprisonment under the Obscene Publications Act after publishing 250 copies of the Kama Sutra privately in Britain. You are reading this article in yahoo groups; deshiromance. The book did not become legal in Britain until 1963.

PURPOSE OF KAMA SUTRA

ATTAINING THE THREE GOALS
Any religious scripture has four goals -
achievement of Dharma (religion),
Arth (Wealth) and
Kama (pleasures) and
Moksha (salvation) through them. There are three distinct stages in attaining of thee goals. These are:-
Anushthan (undertaking).
Avabodha (appreciation) and
Sampratipatti (achievement).
Anushthan includes the measures to achieve religion wealth and pleasures.
Avabodhan (appreciation) is the real experience of a knowledge and
Sampratipatti (achievement) is the mastering of an art.
Among these three Anushthan (undertaking) is the most significant undertaking also means striving to achieve something. Indeed one can not achieve any thing merely by wishing for it. One has to convert his wish power into will power and strive them to achieve something.
Maharshi Vatsayan dictates that a man of sound mind must divide his life time judiciously in order to practice religion, wealth and carnal pleasures. He should also take care that one does not infringe with or encroach upon the other.

During the childhood years, the whole attention must be on the gaining of education. One must long for carnal pleasures during his young age because during this period Om is physically and mentally fit to enjoy intimacy with the opposite sex. In old age, however one should devote himself in the service of religion and strive to achieve salvation. There is nothing to do for him either for he had already attained other goals.

APPEARANCE OF RELIGION
Religion has a metaphysical existence and its fruits are invisible. Yagya etc are the Karma that symbolize religion. But non-religion is physical and their fruit is visible. As per the scriptures, meat eating is the symbol of non-religion.
There are various ways to attain religion through scriptures or in the guidance of polymaths.

APPEARANCE OF WEALTH
Wealth is the means to acquire education, property, gold, cattles, cereals, clothes and ornaments etc. An increase in these materials through collection is also wealth in any case, wealth is necessary to live a successful economic life.

APPEARANCE OF KAMA
Enjoyment of nature while appreciating sound, sight, beauty taste and smell through all the five sense organs and thus having a union of mind and soul is termed as Kama. Kama is also of two types General and Special.

Samanya Kama (General pleasure): When the soul wishes to have superficial pleasures related to sound, sight, smell etc., The resulting action is Samanya Kama. With the appearance of the wish, mind comes into action and stimulates the related sense organs. Thus activated, the sense organs begin to seek the sources of pleasures. But since, the objective is to have superficial pleasure, the whole body does not get involved in the play, it simply enjoys pleasures through sight, sound, smell etc and the soul, hence the whole process had initiated feels satisfied.

VISHESH KAMA (TOTAL INVOLVEMENT)
One can have superficial pleasures alone. But to have Vishesh Kama, one needs a partner for the category of pleasure involves total involvement. In fact superficial pleasure itself lays the foundation for total involvement in pleasure. During superficial pleasure, the soul seeks more and more satisfaction. Sooner or later, a stage arrives, when the partners cross over all the barriers between them and establish close intimate contact. At this stage they experience marvellous feeling through the closest contact of the skins of their respective parts. This contact culminates in the highest degree of joy through the unabated release of their intimate feelings.

PURPOSE OF KAMASHASTRA
Mutual attraction between the male and female is a natural instinct among all the animals, birds etc. It is even necessary for the contamination of life on earth. Thus what is sue of Kamashastra? According to Vatsyayan, Kama can not be completed without active participation of the male and female partners. But before the two partners could actually participate in the pleasure play, they have miles to go. Almost in every creature, acceptance of female partner, to allow an intercourse is more important. Males of almost all the species demonstrate elaborate rituals mating plays etc. to coax the female for an intercourse.

Human beings are not exception to this rule. Kamashatra describes the ways. How to coax a woman for an intercourse. Intimate contact with a woman is to two kinds - external and internal. External contact involves all the fondling, caressing, kissing etc. but no intercourse.

With increasing intimacy, an external contact is converted in to an internal one that is intercourse or actual mating during which no barrier exists between man and woman. But external contact does not necessarily lead to internal contact always. Desire plays here the most vital role.

PREVENTION OF UNJUST TENDENCY OF KAMA
Lord Krishna says in Geeta:"Kama as per the religion is an appearance of mine. Kama against the religious norms is always Catastrophic. One should therefore avoid such Kama or Carnal pleasure."

Kama or desire for Carnal pleasure is like an inextinguishable fire. Even the ascetics are not fully immune from this fire. The mind intelligence and the sense organs are all the means which, facilitate in Kama. Over powering these organs Kama covers up the knowledge and allures the organism. Hence, Lord Krishna preaches in Geeta to conquer Kama and channelize it.

Exponents of Kama Shastra believe that only through proper knowledge of discipline can unjust tendencies be contained. With the awakening of Kama, one naturally begins to incline towards the opposite sex, Now, a common, household woman and a prostitute, both have common feelings about the carnal pleasure. Here, discipline clearly dictates as to company of which partner will cause the no harm to the religion and wealth. Such a partner is known as Gamya (fit for coition). On the contrary, there are Agamya (not fit for coition) partners. Having a carnal relation with such partners, always leads to a loss in the religion and the wealth. Kama Shastra clearly defines this category of Gamya and Agamya partners. Exponent of Kama Sutra,

ASY SHASTRASY TATTVAGYOBHAVATYEV JITENDRIYAH

Meaning: Those, who understand the spirit of Kama Sutra, defend first of all their mundane position regarding religion, wealth and Kama. Apparently those who opt for Kama defend his religion and wealth, will automatically contain their unjust tendencies. Indeed, pious thoughts can contain the unjust tendencies of Kama. Kama Sutra plays the role of a mentor here in developing these thoughts.

DHARM & ARTH NOT NEGLECTED
From the content of Kama Sutra, it is clear that Kama must not be nurtured at the cost of religion and wealth. Instead it should be an adjunct to these two goals. Vatsayan also advocates for the carnal relation with wife alone who hails from the same caste. But in present era, the dictate, doesn`t appear relevant.

VATSAYAN: PROPONENT OF SALVATION
Some ignorant people accuse that Vatsayan`s thought were limited to physical achievements only; and that Vatsayan did never champion the cause for Salvation. But its not true, for Vatsayan says:

STHAVIRE DHARMAM MOKSHAM CHA, That is, in old age one must follow the religion and strive for salvation.

Kama Sutra - Description of partners!
Physical intimacy and sexual relation comprise the most delicate part of all the human relations. In the words of well-known author, love seems to be the fastest thing, but it is the slowest thing to grow. Nonetheless, millions of people unite every year with the opposite sex. Some of these partnerships last life long. This section describes the kinds of the partners and their agents who assist them in contacting with each other and establish physical relations.

CATEGORIES OF MALE AND FEMALE PARTNERS
According to the size and depth of their private organs male and female partners have been put in three categories. These are:-

Shash (rabbit),
Vrish (bull) and
Ashva (horse) for the males and

Mrigi (doe),
Badava (cow) and
Hastini (she-elephant) for the females.

Shashak (rabbit) males have a small phallus,
Vrish (bull) males have normal size phallus. While
Ashva (horse) males have extremely large phallus.

Mrigi (doe) females have extremely small cunt.
Badava (cow females have normal sized cunt, while
Hastini (she-elephant) females have extemely large cunt.

A union of Shashak (rabbit) male with Mrigi (doe) female, of Vrishu (bull) male with Badava (cow) female and Ashva (horse) male with Hastini (she-elephant) female is well matched because the sizes of their private parts are equal to one another.

There are six kinds of unmatched union between these types of partners, viz. Union of Shashak (rabbit) male with Hastini (she-elephant) or Badva (cow) females, union of Vrish (bull) male with Mrigi (doe) or Hastini (she-elephant) females and the union of Ashva (horse) male with Mrigi (doe) or Badava (cow) female.

KINDS OF FEMALE PARTNERS
Female partners are the young woman who are the centre of everyone`s attraction. There are mainly three kinds of female partners. These are:-

1) Spinsters,
2) Remarried widows and
3) Prostitutes.

Spinsters constitute the supreme category, remarried widows are mediocre, while prostitutes form the lowest category. On the basis of their body built, female partners have been classified into Hastine (elephant-like) Padmini (lotuslike) etc. According to their social status, Acharya Vatsyayan has recognized four categories of female partners - spinsters, remarried women forced to have relation with men other than husband. Often eunuchs are also recognized as the fifth category of the female partners.

GENTLEMAN
Who is a gentleman? Any educated person may be a gentleman. But without having a legitimate wife, even an educated man can`t be gentleman. And after marriage, life cannot run without money. But no one gets money without efforts. Hence, marriage and taking up some economic occupation are necessary to be a civilized man. A civilized man must also make his residence at an excellent inhabitation, which is managed well.

There must be a water near the inhabitation and general environment must be as clean and pure as possible. There must be two portions in a gentleman`s house - one for storing necessary provisions and other for sleeping. Further additions in the house must follow the principles of Vastu Shastra. His bedroom must have a comfortable bedstead with soft cushions and white sheets. There must be all the cosmetics handy in the bedroom. Apart from these musical instruments, music system posters of natural scenes and love scenes of couples must decorate the bedroom. The house must also have a swing, a lawn and a kitchen garden.

The inner portion of the house must be used by the woman. It should have a bedstead with soft cushion. There must also be a smaller but comfortable bed nearby for lovemaking. The owner of the house must enjoy physical intimacy with his wife on this smaller bed. Light snacks and drinks must also be handy in this room.

After a hard day work daily, evening of a gentle must start with music. Guests may also visit him at him time or conversely the gentleman may visit some one else as a guest himself.

WOMEN NOT FIT FOR COITION
Among all the four types of above-mentioned female partners, there are women not fit for coition. These are lepers, insane, corrupt, characterless and backbiters. Apart from them women who want full lighting during coition, who stint, who are past their prime, extremely fair-complexioned are also not fit for coition. Women having Electra complex must be shun in any case. Ultimately one must not strive to establish physical relations with an ascetic woman, friend of the wife, wife of the friend, teacher and the wife of the king.

TABOOS IN PHYSICAL REALTIONS
Of course there is a strong drive of attraction among the members of opposite sexes. This drive urges human beings to establish close physical contact with the opposite sex. But it won`t be wise to have a physical relation with just anybody. There are certain taboos to give this behaviour a direction. According, one should avoid physical relation with the woman belonging to very high class or to a very low class. One should not long for a relation with a woman married to someone other. One should not have a relation with a woman of the same caste but who has been boycotted by the society. Such relations almost always lead to the fall.

ARTS OF KAMA SUTRA

FORE - PLAYS
1) Embracing: Embracing or clasping removes the physical distances between the partners. Embracing can be of two kinds depending on whether the partners know each other previously or are unknown to each other. Between the partners, who already know each other, embracing is full of drive. Between the partners who are unknown to each other, embracing removes the physical distance and establishes closeness. There are four distinct stages in the process of embracing. These are:-

touching, pulling, rubbing and pressing hard.

First the partners touch each other lovingly while talking. Next they are drawn closer. Any partner may pull the other. Once their bodies come in close contact, the partners caress and stroke each other. Even their bodies begin to rub against each other. Finally as the urge grows stronger, the partners begin to press hard against each other in preparation to an intercourse. Exponents of Kama Sutra advise that at this stage the partners must make full use of the things not mentioned anywhere but helping to increase the intensity of love.

Kissing: Kissing may accompany embracing or follow it. It is used prominently before the actual coition to increase the intensity of love. On the female body, there are eleven points sensitive to kissing. These are forehead, cheeks, eyes, bust, breasts, lips, and palate inside the mouth. Besides these some people have no hesitation is kissing even the lips of the cunt, and around it, armpits and jovelings. Exponents of Kama Sutra advise that a particular kind of kiss must be reciprocated fittingly.

2) Piercing with Nails: Kissing kindles the fire of love, while piercing with nails acts likes fuel to keep this fire burning. Nails however should be used only when the partners has attained a particular degree of excitement. Those, who lack intensity in their love, don`t use nails to excite their partners. Nails are used like kissing on armpits, breasts, neck, back, thighs, groin etc. But care must be taken not to inflict long lasting marks. Nails marks on the hidden parts remind the person of the first love even long after his or her partner has parted with.

3) Biting: Biting either accompanies of follows the piercing with nails. It only adds to the heat of the love. All the kissing points except upper lip, tongue and eyes are suitable for biting provided that your partner has no objection. Biting must be done in such a way that it does not leave a permanent mark, Neck, armpits and thighs are the ideal places for biting. Some experts regard biting at the breast as most exciting.

SIXTY-FOUR ARTS OF KAMA SUTRA

According to Vatsyayan, there are Sixty four arts in Kama Sutra. These are: singing, dancing, playing instruments, knowledge of foreign languages speaking generously speaking beautifully painting, calligraphy, making garlands, cooking delicious foods, making floral bouquets, ability to distinguish between true and false gems, sewing colour-making and dying, making proper estimates of the cooking materials honouring others, saving money, treating birds and animals, ability to judge craftiness and reply accordingly, proficiency in plays behaving suitably with others, prudence, keeping the body neat and clean, braiding of hair and dying them with heena.
These are all general arts that prepare a girl to be a good wife. In practical aspect that is when physical intimacy is achieved, there are sixteen arts that a young girl must learn before opening herself before her husband. These are -reading others thoughts,expression of love on others, showing acceptance through bodily postures, allowing slow touching of her parts,scrating lovingly with nails and biting,undoing the fastener of the lower clothe straightening and exposing the private part,artful participation in the intercourse,pleasing the partner, feeling full satisfaction and making the partner to have similar feeling,encouraging the partner for intercourse, posing as if angry, removal of anger in a playful way,pleasing the angry partner,leaving the sleeping partner,going to sleep after the coition and concealing the private parts.

Apart from these there are four more additional arts inducing guilt, in the partner through tearful eyes for his showing negligence to you, stopping an uninterested partner through sending down oath on him, following him if the partner does not stop and looking helplessly at the going partner.

BENEFITS OF THESE ARTS
Learning of these arts enhances the beauty, character and virtues of a woman, Through these arts, prostitutes gain respect in the society. They get honour from the king praise from he connoisseurs and gain every kind of wealth. Princesses and the daughters of noblemen may control their husbands through these arts. PRESENTATION OF POSTURE NOT VULGAR
Kama Sutra describes Sixty-four postures through which a man and a woman can establish physical contact. These postures are beneficial to both of them. Ancient as well as modern poets have described these postures in their distinct styles. Almost all the authorities on Kama Sutra agree that a couple must adopt such a posture that is helpful in conceiving, and not one that may lead to abortion. This dictate complies well to the basic objective of physical intimacy. Joy is the first objective of physical intimacy. If a couple fails to enjoy this intimacy, there is no meaning of sex then. There might be many reasons for a couple not enjoying physical intimacies.

Imbalance between the physical stature of the partners is the main reason. If both the partners are well matched in their physical built and age, there is no problem in establishing, and running smoothly, a physical contact. But if they are not well matched, either of them may feel pain during the intercourse. Postures in this case, tell the unmatched partners how to establish intimacy contacts and how to enjoy them.

Postures of Kama Sutra constitute the theme of bas-relief in many temples of ancient India. Temples in Khajuraho, Konark and many other places in India contain scores of figures that depict postures from Kama Sutra. Those figures, of course would have not been chiseled with an objective of propagating vulgarity. Those figures depict the vital states of life - processes that beget life.

ACTIONS OF MAN
Undressing the partner: A man must begin to undress his female partner right during the foreplay and sweet-talking. Undressing begins with undoing of the fastener. The female partner will naturally protest against this action. But this protest is superficial only and dies out after a few kisses. Thus, slowly undressing the female partner, a man must also show his readiness, while touching and stroking his partner at sensitive spots like armpits, groin and breasts. The documents that Wired posted online also include eight pages of technical drawings and tables, most of which are marked "AT&T Proprietary" that Klein said describe how to "spy on fiber-optic circuits." A former chief technologist at the Federal Communications Commission, Dale Hatfield, said the documents posted on the Wired site appeared to be authentic and to describe a way to monitor traffic on a high-speed fiber-optic circuit. A class-action lawsuit filed this year by the nonprofit Electronic Frontier Foundation and others claims AT&T took part "in a secret and illegal government program to intercept and analyze vast quantities of Americans' telephone and Internet communications, surveillance done without the authorization of a court." In court filings, AT&T has argued, without confirming or denying it carried out any of the activities alleged, that Congress and the courts have given blanket immunity to telephone firms that "respond to apparently lawful requests for national security assistance" from the government. The company has argued the lawsuit should be immediately dismissed. The judge last week refused AT&T's request that certain documents filed under seal in the case be returned to the company, and he ordered the plaintiffs and their lawyers not to disclose those documents to anyone.

In 1944, when the atomic project was well underway, if I went to the bar in the La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe I might have seen some physicists I would recognize. For example, Robert Serber, one of Oppenheimer's closest associates, and his wife were sent to Santa Fe to plant the rumor that what was going on at Los Alamos had to do with submarines. I am not sure how much one would have learned by monitoring their conversations with other physicists, since they used a code when talking about the nuclear bomb project. Uranium-235 was called "25" and plutonium-239 was known as "49." These were the fissionable isotopes. Niels Bohr was known as "Nicholas Baker" and Enrico Fermi was known as "Henry Farmer." Los Alamos was known as "Project Y" and the plutonium bomb was known as the "gadget."

By the fall of 1945, such deceptions would have been futile. All the details involved in making the plutonium bomb, the gadget, were known to the Russians. They were revealed basically by a single agent on the ground— Klaus Fuchs. Fuchs, for example, was able to reveal the secret of making plutonium usable for atomic weapons, a secret the Russians would have had considerable difficulty discovering for themselves. Plutonium is the most complex element in the periodic table. It does not occur naturally, and it has to be not only manufactured but also put into metal form before it can be used in an explosive chain reaction. This is what produced the explosion that took place at Nagasaki. Plutonium comes in at least six different crystalline forms—allotropes—that manifest themselves at different temperatures. At room temperature the so-called alpha phase is found. You can't easily make a metal out of it. On the other hand, at high temperatures there is the delta phase from which you can make a very useful metal; but it relapses to the alpha phase when it cools, so it is very difficult to use.

A former colleague says the fired Mary McCarthy 'categorically denies' being the source of the leak on agency renditions.

A former CIA officer who was sacked last week after allegedly confessing to leaking secrets has denied she was the source of a controversial Washington Post story about alleged CIA secret detention operations in Eastern Europe, a friend of the operative told NEWSWEEK.
The fired official, Mary O. McCarthy, "categorically denies being the source of the leak," one of McCarthy's friends and former colleagues, Rand Beers, said Monday after speaking to McCarthy. Beers said he could not elaborate on this denial and McCarthy herself did not respond to a request for comment left by NEWSWEEK on her home answering machine. A national security advisor to Democratic Party candidate John Kerry during the 2004 presidential campaign, Beers worked as the head of intelligence programs on President Bill Clinton's National Security Council staff and later served as a top deputy on counter-terrorism for President Bush in 2002 and 2003. McCarthy, a career CIA analyst, initially worked as a deputy to Beers on the NSC and later took over Beer's role as the Clinton NSC's top intelligence expert.
CIA spokesman Paul Gimigliano re-affirmed on Monday that an agency official had been fired after acknowledging "unauthorized contacts with the media and discussion of classified information" with journalists. Gimigliano and other administration spokespersons said they were prohibited by law from disclosing the identity of the person who was fired. But government officials familiar with the matter confirmed to NEWSWEEK that McCarthy, a 20-year veteran of the CIA's intelligence - or analytical - branch, was the individual in question.
